Hi, We’re Sally & Kate

Just Good Food prepares home-cooked frozen meals in Christchurch, delivered to your door every Thursday.

Just Good Food began when Angela started making meals for her elderly parents, who needed something wholesome and easy to heat.

Word spread quickly. Soon, neighbours and local families were ordering too. What started as a small favour became a full kitchen operation.

In 2026, Angela made the decision to step back, and we’re honoured she trusted us to carry it forward. We’ve kept everything the way she built it — same recipes, same ingredients, same care in every container.

Today, we still cook the same way, using fresh ingredients and local meats to prepare home-style meals that are frozen, delivered, and ready to enjoy. Simple, nourishing food made with care, from our kitchen in Christchurch to yours.

Desserts

All desserts are made in small batches and delivered frozen, ready to warm in the microwave or oven when you’re ready for something special.

Reheating

All meals are fully cooked, then frozen, so you only need to reheat your meal. For best results, defrost your meal before reheating. Meals are best defrosted in the fridge, then heated until piping hot. Once thawed, if not eating immediately, they can be stored in fridge for two days.

  • You can use an oven or microwave.
  • Our containers are suitable to use in either the oven or the microwave.
  • You can also transfer your meal onto your own dinner plate and reheat. (Recommended)

* All reheating times are only approximate.

Once meals are thawed do not refreeze and once reheated do not refreeze or reheat.

  1. Place defrosted meal in the microwave and reheat approximately 2-4 minutes.  * Remember, reheating times may vary. Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may need a longer or shorter time to reheat.
  2. Your meal should be piping hot right through before eating.
  3. Before eating, it is always best to let your meal rest for one minute.

PLEASE NOTE: Desserts only require about 30 – 60 seconds of reheating

We currently deliver within Christchurch only.

Order cut-off time

Please place your order by 7pm on Tuesday for Thursday delivery.

Delivery day & time

Deliveries are made every Thursday between 9am and 2pm.

Meal prices

  • Regular meals: $12
  • Large meals: $14
  • Desserts: $10.

Delivery cost

  • $5 delivery fee for orders under $100 (minimum order $40)
  • Free delivery on orders over $100
